The Gillgrass Lab’s primary research focus is on immunology, humanized mice and infectious disease. 

Current projects involve using humanized mouse models to investigate HIV, TB, HIV/TB co-infection and cancer. 

We aim to understand disease pathogenesis and immune responses as well as to develop therapeutics (vaccines/immunotherapeutics) to improve disease outlook and possibly cure!
